With more than 22 years in the industry, we use the very best materials on all of our swing sets. Every model is 100-percent cedar, (c. lanceolate) with each piece of wood meticulously sanded, rounded, and stained. Because cedar is naturally resistant to rot and insect damage, our lumber is never chemically treated, and it lasts for years.

Heavy Duty Wooden Swing Set Parts and Hardware

The hardware found on Eastern Jungle Gym swing sets and jungle gym plans consist of heavy-duty swing hangers that are welded together and installed with thru-bolts.

Our patent-pending Easy 1-2-3 A-Frame Bracket is made of steel, and we use lag bolts and wood screw fasteners. These provide significantly more strength than nails or staples. The hardware on our playsets and jungle gym plans is recessed too, so there are no hazardous, exposed bolts for your child’s clothing to catch.

*Our patent-pending bracket isn’t the only feature exclusive to Eastern Jungle Gym swing sets and jungle gym plans. We use engineered Thru-Bolt Construction and a flush mount fastener system, so the wood in our playsets is extremely strong–superior to those made of laminated construction or even solid timbers. Thru-bolt construction means our 4”x4” and 4”x6” beams are really two pieces of milled lumber bolted together. These are not 2”x4”s or 2”x6”s, and the dimensions are still the same as a 4”x4” or 4”x6”. Plus, all of our wooden components are pre-cut and pre-drilled for easy installation.

Our swing sets can be installed almost anywhere, thanks to our special leveling system. It allows our straight-base models to be installed on sloped properties without expensive landscaping or site preparation. Our playsets also utilize a unique ground support system, so the weight is evenly distributed for optimum strength and stability.

Our slides are heavy-duty, with the wave slides offering high sidewalls and the scoop slides featuring double-wall, roto-molded construction. Our swings use straight-coil chains instead of ropes, and they are covered in soft plastisol–not powder coated–after being heated and primed, so the surface is smooth to your child’s touch and won’t pinch.
