Product FAQ

Yes! The colorants in colored mulch are safe for people, animals, and the environment. In fact, recent independent laboratory studies looked at colored mulch very closely to determine its toxicity.

In the studies, toxicity is tested using a variety of reaction types — from acute oral, skin, and inhalation toxicity to eye and skin irritation. The results place the colorant used in colored mulch into the lowest and safest level of toxicity possible — Category IV ― the same level as the sugar you put in your coffee (which is not to say we recommend consuming it). By contrast, table salt and baking soda have higher levels of toxicity.

By far, Dark Brown Colored Mulch. It's the classic rich brown color everyone's loved for years! The ultra violet light inhibitors are key in preventing the fade to grey.

75% of the time, no. While we do maintain some a the lightest fleet of specifically designed custom mulch delivery vehicles in the area... WE DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS, nor accept any responsibility for the condition of your yard after we leave. With a maximum weight of 26,000 lbs on a full load, we can get stuck, make depressions/ruts in the lawn, crack edges of improperly constructed driveways and more. Delivery is completely at driver discretion, please have a spot pick out on your driveway. Additionally, we do not accept liability for cracked driveways under load. While the average driveway has no problems, we have no way of knowing the construction of your driveway. If you are concerned consider having us drop at the end of your driveway near the street. Unfortunately this is the the bitter truth to delivering a load of product with an appropriately sized vehicle. We do appreciate your cooperation.

Colored Mulch ~900 lbs per cubic yard

Classic Mulch ~1,100 lbs per cubic yard

Soils ~ 1,800 lbs per cubic yard

*These are estimates, natural products can vary and the loading process can effect total weight.

We are accepting orders for a product, however it is not currently in stock. Items on back order are expected to be available within a week and it is currently in production, curing, or we are expecting its shipment any day. Orders placed on back order are put at the front of the line when it becomes available.

It means that we are not sure of when it will be available. This can be due to many factors such as: moisture content, quality control, environmental factors, limited raw product, etc. We cannot accept any orders for out of stock items. The website is updated regularly, so check back soon.

At checkout there is a section for order notes, please let us know where to drop the load there.

We have not found a reasonable system to account for all of the variables in bulk deliveries. Delivery slots change by the minute in peak season.Orders placed online, especially after hours get priority to next available slot. Sometimes we finish our delivery schedule 1 hour early and sneek in an online order same day. If you would like to delay your online order, please let us know what day you prefer and we will confirm via email availability.

We are not responsible for hitting lines/pipes/etc that we cannot see. All public utilities should be well below the standard 3"-4" bed edging if installed correctly. We do not edge new beds, we only maintain established beds.  We regularly see bad installs of invisible dog fencing wire, low voltage lighting, sprinkler systems and cable internet. If you have these pre-marked by the corresponding company, we can avoid them. If you do not pre-mark them, you assume all fixing costs involved. no exceptions. If we can't see it, we don't fix it.  Unfortunately most are avoidable problems if everyone did their job to code. Invisible dog fencing any low voltage landscape lighting is almost always within 1-4 inches below surface. Sprinklers should be 8"+ below but rarely are. These are items that JULIE cannot mark for. You must call your corresponding contractor and pay them to mark the service.

Please understand we try to do the best we job we can. We do not want to hit anything, but it happens. Whatever we cant see, we can hit within 3-4" edge depth.
