3/8″ Chip is becoming more popular as leveling course on top of drainable sub-bases for patios. As the industry moves toward better water management and watershed a new type of product was introduced to help! 3/8″ Chip is small angular fractured fieldstone that has a light compaction ability. This allows it to stay put while letting water pass through improving hardscape drainage. Use this product with CA7 3/4″ Chip and and non compactible paver locking sand like “NOCO” by Techniseal to create your ultimate permiable hardscape install!
This crushed local fieldstone gravel is screened to aprox 3/8″ and does not contain fines. Typically 3/8″ chip is placed at 1″ deep or less on top of CA7 3/4″ Chip. Sold by the Ton.
