If you plan on buying anything at a big box store, please be aware of claims to grow faster, harder, or make your job easier.  You end up paying for a blend of mulch, clay, and other non-seed components that fluff up the mix. Good seed is expensive and these premixes are almost always do not benifit the end consumer. These premixes do shine in small isolated uses such as lush lawns with small dead spots due to dog or animal damage. We do not carry these blends and almost always do not recommend them as your seed load per square foot is too little.
