Welcome to Opa’s Orchard, a Boutique U-Pick Apple Orchard in Lake County, IL

This is our first year opening up to the public. Trees are still small, however apples are plentiful and yummy! This is a soft open with limited tickets available. We want to limit the number of attendees in each timeslot so we can take the time and make sure everyone has a pleasant experience for years to come.  Please come to any employee for question, comments or concerns you may have while you pick. We’re happy to help!

We have approximately 1,500 Firestorm Honeycrisp apple trees and 500 mixed varieties for you to pick while you are here.  The orchard is located at 83 Landscape Supply Inc in Mundelein, IL.

Please note that this is a “small” orchard close to home. Easy to get to, easy to park, and a few activates to keep the little ones occupied in-between picking.  Plenty of fun photo ops for those Instagram stories! Don’t forget to tag us at #opasorchard. We do not have vast large trees upon hundreds of acres you would find in the country.  We specialize in a orchard style called the “Fruiting Wall”.  This is a high density dwarf apple orchard on a trellis system. Think of a evergreen hedge where you pluck apples off.

A Few Notes:

• Parking spots are limited. You must park in a designated parking space. 1 car space per purchase.
• Time slots last 1 hour and a half. You must leave by your end time so the next group can park in your spot and enjoy their time.
• Only short leashed, good behaved pups allowed. There is no off leash. You are responsible for your dog.
• This orchard is hidden within 83 Landscape Supply, it’s best to google us to find directions to the orchard. You will see signs when you arrive!
• For safety, no climbing trees/wires/etc. or swimming in the pond.
• No throwing apples. Drop unwanted apples for the deer to enjoy later in the evening.
• Tickets will be emailed to you automatically.
• Check-in at the main office upon arival.
• Events held rain or shine! For severe weather you will be emailed for rescheduling. If you do not receive an email, event will be held at original time.

Release of Liability-

By registering to participate in Opa’s Orchard U-Pick event at 83 Landscape Supply Inc., you acknowledge for yourself and party, as well as for any participating minor child(ren) you are parent or guardian, legal or otherwise, of (“Participant(s)”), your agreement to the following in favor of Opa’s Orchard which is owned and operated by 83 Landscape Inc. (“Opa’s Orchard”), and 83 Landscape Supply Inc’s, officers, employees, agents, representatives, successors, and assigns 

1. Certain risks of injury are inherent to participation in recreational activities. These types of injuries may be minor or serious and may result from one’s actions, the actions of others, or combination of both.

2. Posted or distributed rules and regulations are designed for the safety and protection of Participant(s), who in turn are responsible to abide by these rules and regulations.

3. Certain activities require a minimum level of health and fitness ability. Participant(s) warrant that they are physically fit to participate in any activities undertaken. Participant(s) understand a choice to participate brings with it the voluntary assumption of risks of injury, which may arise from participation in these activities.

4. Participant(s) do hereby release and forever discharge and hold harmless Opa’s Orchard from any and all liability, charges, causes of action, claims, demands and other matters of any kind or nature, either in law or in equity, which arises or hereafter may arise. Participant(s) understand that this Release discharges Opa’s Orchard from any liability, charges, causes of action, claims, demands, and other matters of any kind or nature that the Participant(s) may have against the Opa’s Orchard with respect to any and all matters, including but not limited to any bodily injury, personal injury, illness, death, loss, expense, charge or property damage that may result from or in connection with Opa’s Orchard, whether caused by the negligence of Opa’s Orchard or otherwise. Participant(s) also understands that Opa’s Orchard does not assume responsibility for or any obligation to provide financial assistance or other assistance, including but not limited to medical, health, or disability insurance in the event of injury or illness.
